July 2020 NESHER, Israel – Tabor Electronics names Mark Elo, VP and General Manager of the Americas. The Americas have always been of strategic importance to the company and this announcement is a result of the increasing demand of Tabor’s two recent product lines launches - the All-New Lucid and Proteus series instruments - fueling continued growth and expanding market reach in the US.
In the past 5 years, since his appointment as CEO, Ron Glazer has focused the company resources and abilities in assembling the best-in-class R&D group and rebuilding the company’s portfolio and offerings to allow it to reach its next phase of significant growth, while establishing its US and European offices to support the sales targets.
Mark Elo joined the company in 2019 as the US National Sales Manager for Tabor Electronics and managed Tabor’s US Sales for the last 12 months from the US headquarters in Silicon Valley. In his new role as VP and GM Americas, Mark will be responsible for the region’s strategy, sales channel, business development and marketing activities, as well as growing the local office through new hires and possibly acquisitions, across both the North and South American continents.
Mark has over 30 years of cross functional test and measurement experience in instrumentation. He began his career as a design engineer in Hewlett-Packard's Microwave Division and has since held various senior positions at Agilent Technologies, Anritsu, Gigatronics Tektronix and Keithley Instruments in R&D, sales, marketing and business development. He has an Honors degree in Electronics and an MBA.
Mr. Glazer commented: “As demand rises, the next stage is further growth of the local offices and supply chain, mainly in the US. To manage this great and commercially versatile market, and according to our strategic plan to grow Tabor’s presence and footprint in the US, I saw fit to appoint a GM at the level of VP that would be tasked to build and manage the US operation. A natural and well fit candidate was Mark Elo.” Ron added: ”I wish Mark great success in his new and challenging role and am convinced he’s the man for the job. As the global market is slowly coming back to normal from the COVID-19 closedown, we plan to seize every opportunity for growth and market reach.”
“I’m delighted that Ron has entrusted me with this important pivotal role for the company and am looking forward to growing demand for the new products and continued organizational expansion, as we enter the post COVID-19 market.”, said Mr. Elo in regard to his new position.
